Vice-Captains Report

Hi MWPS Community,

On Thursday the 21st of July, we had the opportunity to participate in a Cyber Bullying incursion. Each P - 6 class spent one session engaging with and watching the performance.   We interviewed some of our students to hear their different opinions about the performance.

Blake and Annabelle (Prep W) - “We enjoyed when the people were pretending to write mean things about each other.”

Amber (1A) - “It was very funny. I could not stop laughing.”

Jaiden (2T) - “I learned that it's not nice to bully people.”

Ivie (3F) - “It was funny. The story was very interesting.”

Stevie (4L) - “It was very funny and lots of students learned how damaging bullying can be.”

Noah (5/6A) - “There was a really good message to it, and we were shown how cyberbullying can affect people.

Unfortunately, the Year 5/6 eSafety Incursion was cancelled. Hopefully, this can be rescheduled sometime in the future as we think it is important to learn how to be safe online.

Next week the Grade 1 and Grade 2 students are going on an excursion to Sovereign Hill. We cannot wait to hear all about their adventure!

A few weeks ago, the choir performed at our whole school assembly. Sadia and Chloe from 56B led the performance of “Flyaway” by Tones and I. They did a wonderful job and have beautiful voices. Well done to the choir and thank you to Mrs Mega for your organisation of the school choir.

We hope you all have a great week!

Chloe and Ulus (Vice Captains)
