Principal Reflections
A Short Message from Dr Jake
Dear Parents & Friends,
I am often asked why St Edward's is growing and winning awards.
My response is that we have a strong school identity, spirit, and community which reinforces our school’s values and mission. These three concepts are highly critical to the feel and vibe of our school and the end result is that we have a rigorous learning program being led by quality teachers.
The events over this last week exemplifies this. From our P&F Trivia night last Friday night, to Tuesday's Grandparents' Day, Thursday's School Athletics Carnival and our NAIDOC Carnival tomorrow, there is always something exciting happening at our school.
Our school’s identity is built around our students, teachers, parents and a growing alumni association. We are very proud of our students and their achievements both in and out of the classroom. Our teachers go above and beyond to provide a high-quality education for our students. Our parents are highly supportive of our school and its programs. And our alumni are some of our strongest advocates.
Our school spirit is evident in the way our students and teachers interact with each other. There is a strong sense of pride in being part of the St Edward's community. This is evident in the way our students wear their uniforms and the way they carry themselves around the school.
Our school community is built on strong relationships. We have a very supportive parent community that is always willing to help out. Our teachers are highly dedicated to their students and go above and beyond to make sure they are successful.
All of these factors contribute to the success of our school. We are growing because we have a strong school identity, spirit, and community. These three things reinforce our school’s values and mission and make St Edward's a great place to be.
Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us as we are only too happy to help.
Peace & Best Wishes
Dr Jake Madden
