Extended Absence Learning Plan

A friendly reminder that if for any reason including family holiday, a student is to be absent for 5 or more days it is a requirement of the Department of Education that a student completes an ‘extended absence learning plan’.  This is to ensure that the absence doesn’t have a negative impact on the students learning, they complete any necessary schoolwork during that absence, and they have a plan to catch up when they come back.

This plan is developed in partnership between the student, parents & mentors/LCL.   If you know of any times where your child will be absent for an extended period in the future, can you please be sure to contact your child’s mentor or Learning Community Leader (LCL) so that a meeting to develop this plan can be arranged.

Student Lost Property

To assist staff with returning items that may have been left behind in class, we advise families to ensure the student name has been written on the tag so we may return them to the rightful owner.  Any items that are found without a name will be kept for 2 weeks and if unclaimed, will then be donated.
