What's happening in our

learning communities?

Presented by the Reception classes.

During the last couple of weeks, the Reception classes have been working hard on their Book Week presentation.  We read the book “Warna-Manda Baby Earth Walk” by Susan Betts and Mandy Foot.  Our favourite part of this book are the beautiful illustrations that fill every page reflecting the earth, sea and sky.  We loved the patterns, colours and prints that the illustrations showcase.

Inspired by this artwork, we created our very own art piece which reflects the parts of the book we liked the most. We worked together to paint a huge piece of cloth.  Taking turns, we painted different colours on the cloth.  We then let it dry and added different markings and prints.  For some of the prints, we used our own fingers and hands to create different trails of prints across the colours.  We had so much fun creating this artwork and we can’t wait to share it with you all this week!
