On Thursday 28th July, the Juniors celebrated their 100th Day of School! Due to the 100 days falling during home learning the last 2 years it was so nice to be able to celebrate this special occasion in person this year. 

The Juniors dressed up as 100 year old people and took part in some fun ‘100’ themed activities. They made crowns, wrote reflections about what they have achieved in 100 days, received gifts and even had a fashion parade to end the day!

SHAPE CITY - MIDDLE C

Dante - I learned that there are different shaped triangles.

Liesel - I learnt the edges and vertices of a 3D shape are. I learnt that it is easy to make 3D shapes using a shape net.

Jonathan - I leant that making a cylinder for me is very hard.

Samuel - I like the shape city and how we needed to fold the shape nets to make an object into a city and the different shapes like quadrilateral shapes. I had a lot of fun.

Aiden - I enjoyed shaping the city because it was a very big task and there's a lot of shapes. I learned that quadrilaterals have four sides.

Leo - I enjoyed being able to actually make the 3D shapes and I learnt about quadrilaterals.

Nicholas - I liked cutting the shapes out and I liked making cool 3D shapes. I learnt how to make different 3D shapes.

Tiago - I liked making the 3D shapes and looking at them was a lot of fun. I learnt how to use shape nets and about 3D shapes having different vertices , edges and faces.

Kaizen - I enjoyed shape city because you have to figure out what you have to sticky tape. I learnt that a 100 sided shape is a hectogon or centagon.

Alexander - I enjoyed making so many shapes and just taking my time to do so. I learnt how to make so many 3D shapes. I love looking at the final form of my ‘Shape City'.

Asher - I learned what some of the shapes were when we did shapes and I loved the shape city activity we did.

Aria - I enjoyed how we made a shape city with a bunch of different 3D shapes and how I was super creative. I also learned that if it's a wacky shape but it has 4 sides it's a quadrilateral.  Also, if a shape has 5 sides it is a pentagon

Lenix - I liked when we built a shape city and used cool 3D shapes to create it. That was my favorite thing learning about shapes. I learned that 3D shapes have different amounts of vertices, edges and faces.

Armin - I enjoyed making all different 3D shapes and sizes and I enjoyed having fun with it.
