Our beekeepers are getting ready for spring and are currently wiring all the frames and installing the wax to help our bees build their hives quickly so they can get to work ASAP once the weather heats up. Thanks to all the wonderful beekeepers who come along and contribute to the club so much on Friday afternoons.

Bitcoin

Bitcoin club had a very interesting discussion last week around the amount of energy that is needed in order to secure the blockchain. In a world where climate change is front and centre in most energy discussions, we need to ask ourselves whether we can justify using so much energy to secure a decentralised monetary system. 

Bitcoin’s attraction is around the scarcity of the supply (21 million BTC will ever exist) in a world suffering under the weight of rampant inflation. Ultimately the market will decide which money wins out. Maybe it might make sense to get a little bit, just in case Bitcoin wins!
