Year 12 Adviser Report

Year 12

Congratulations Year 12, you have completed your comprehensive high schooling and are now equipped and ready to move into the exciting world that awaits you. I have been incredibly proud of the way in which you conducted yourself throughout the Graduation week, HSC Exams and the Sign Out Day.

Year 12 celebrated their fantastic year at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal on Tuesday 19 November. The night started with photos at The Haven followed by Canapes by the pool. Thank you to the large amount of parents, carers and family who joined us, it truly encapsulated how proud we all are of the cohort.

Shortly after, students entered the Grand Ballroom where they heard speeches, got spoilt by fantastic meals, received awards and danced the night away.

Special thanks to Mrs Papadelias for her video that shared the thoughts and feelings of staff here at Henry Kendall High School. Crowne Plaza staff feedback at the end of the night was incredible and something you can all be very proud of. I hope each and every one of you had a magical night and I am sure you will have memories and photos that will last a lifetime.

Please check out the photos at www.photographicevents.com.au (Year 12 students have the password to access photos).

Year 12 Celebration took place on Tuesday 17 December. There was a BBQ supplied for students and staff as we celebrated the success and achievements of Year 12 students.

As this is my last newsletter as your Year Adviser, I would like to thank you one last time.

Year 12, this journey has been epic. I wholeheartedly thank you for everything you have taught and shared with me. If someone were to ask me about the most memorable moment in my career so far, I wouldn't have to think for very long. It would be nervously putting my hand up to become your Year Adviser. I am so thankful for this opportunity and truly believe it has been the highlight of my career and something that will be extremely hard to beat.

“Magic does not change the world we live in, we carry the power to make change inside ourselves already.”

Though it breaks my heart to see you depart Henry Kendall, it also warms it knowing that the big wide world is about to get a whole lot more magical.

Farewell, good luck and big love to you all.
