Reports

Teachers are currently writing reports for all students. These will be made available on the last day of school via the Compass portal. Please contact me if you are having difficulties logging in to Compass. There will be further information regarding reports which will be emailed to families.

Student absences

Please ensure that all student absences are approved on Compass by the end of the year. There are still a number of students who show 'unexplained' absences. If you require assistance approving these please contact me or Judy in the office.

Transition 2018

New students for Years 7, 8 and 9 spent the day with us on 15 November and it was a joy getting to know them all. Year 10s commenced eight days of transition classes in Preshil’s inaugural Diploma Programme and we were very pleased to witness their excitement about this new curriculum; and on 22 November our Year 11s took in their stride a three-day transition to their final year of secondary school.

Wollangarra: Year 10

John Collins and Beth Alvarez,  together with our Year 10 students, left on Monday to begin their Wollangarra Stage I: Meeting the Mountains wilderness camp near Licola. This five-day course with a two-night, three-day hike and time to experience the pioneer lifestyle of Wollangarra is a fabulous way for our students to finish off their year.

Funfields: Years 7-9

At the end of each school year students from Years 7-9 celebrate with a multi-age event and this year we will be going to Funfields in Whittlesea. Students will need to bring along sunscreen, bathers (if they want to go on the water slides) as well as a pair of runners. There is additional information on Compass (please read it carefully) and permission and payment through Compass is required by Friday.

Personal Project 2018

Our Year 9s have already begun their personal project journey. They have had their first session with John Collins, who leads the personal project, and have all been allocated supervisors who will support them throughout this process. The personal project gives students the opportunity to explore an area of personal interest through an independent inquiry and helps students develop confidence as principled, lifelong learners.
