VEX Robotics Incursion Builds Excitement for 2026 Robotics Program
During Term 4, a group of Year 7 and 8 students participated in an engaging VEX Robotics Incursion led by Yarra Ranges Tech School. The hands-on workshop introduced students to the VEX V5 robotics system, where they worked in teams to design, code, and problem solve through a series of interactive challenges.
Students learned how to program their robots to complete tasks, navigate obstacles, and respond to sensor data, developing skills in coding, engineering, and collaboration. The experience provided an excellent introduction to robotics and sparked enthusiasm for the new Year 9 VEX Robotics elective launching in 2026.
With growing interest and confidence among students, the school is exploring opportunities to participate in VEX Robotics competitions, where teams can extend their learning and showcase their innovation on a larger stage.
A huge thank you to Yarra Ranges Tech School for leading such an inspiring session and to all staff that supported the learning throughout the day.
