As Term 3 draws to a close, it's a perfect time to reflect on the vibrant life of our school community - the learning achievements, memorable events and joyful celebrations we've shared and enjoyed together.
We sincerely thank you for your continued support of our students and school community, and wish everyone a fantastic break. We look forward to an incredible Term 4 ahead.
St Augustine’s Feast Day
We celebrated our St Augustine’s Feast Day Mass in the Brigidine Centre as a whole college, joined by special guests and our school community on Thursday 28th August.
We thank Father Michael Morley who celebrated our Feast Day Mass, alongside our school community, Parish Sacristans, parishioners, school leaders, readers, participants and our College Choir.
It was wonderful to reflect on the life and legacy of St Augustine and the continuing contribution to our faith and school community.
Thank you to our incredible families who donated over 800 (yes, over 800!) cupcakes for our students, staff and school community to enjoy following our Mass. We are so grateful for the creativity, effort, time and energy families gave to provide these, thank you.
Student Leadership Applications 2026
At the conclusion of our St Augustine's Day Mass, we had our aspirant College Captain applicants for 2026 deliver their speeches as part of the application process. It was heart warming to hear of their experiences of St Augustine’s and their desire to be of service in the role of College Captain for 2026. We look forward to sharing our Student Leadership Team for 2026 with our school community soon.
Time Capsule from the Year 2000
At the conclusion of our Feast Day Mass, we also unveiled a time capsule from the Year 2000.
Thank you to the Harding/Beck and Chester families and former St Augustine's Principal, Brenda Keenan, for their support with this.
We are currently itemising the contents of the time capsule and look forward to sharing this with you and our school community soon. We look to continuing our story and legacy by reburying the time capsule later in the year.
Presentation of St Augustine Artwork
We were so pleased to be gifted the incredible artwork of St Augustine created by Ms Penny Jenner and her Years 9 and 10 students following the St Augustine's Mass.
What a beautiful creation for our school community to enjoy.
Thank you to Ms Jenner and Year 9s and 10s!
Lone Pine Ceremony
On 3rd September we were honoured to host our Lone Pine Ceremony in partnership with Legacy. We were privileged to welcome Alwyn Drysdale, whose husband Bob was instrumental in the planting of our St Augustine's Lone Pine Tree, Legatees and many other distinguished guests from our community.
Our moving ceremony included music, stories, speeches, poetry and prayer, as we paid respect to those who served and all who have been impacted by war and conflict.
Thank you to our Years 5 and 6 students and their wonderful teachers for their incredible artwork, and our deepest thanks and appreciation to Gavon Armstrong, Kyabram Legacy, our staff and students and all who contributed to this event.
'Lest We Forget'.
Beaut Blokes Celebrations
On Thursday 4th September we celebrated our fathers, father figures and special people with a delicious breakfast including bacon and egg sandwiches, croissants and fruit. It was fantastic to see the vibrant colours of our favourite footy and sporting teams of our students, their family members and guests and staff.
This was followed by our Father’s Day Liturgy in St Augustine’s Church and finished with classroom visits.
Thank you to all who supported this day, we loved celebrating with you!
Years 5 – 8 Liturgy Thursday 18th September
A reminder our final Liturgy for the term will be at 9.15am next Thursday, 18th September, for Years 5 – 8 students in St Augustine’s Church.
Our theme is International Day of Listening ~ Listening with Honesty and Serving with Trust.
All are welcome.
Sacramental Program
Our Sacramental Program students have one more meeting/session, prior to undertaking their Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation on Sunday 21st September at 8:30am at St Augustine’s Church, Kyabram.

Isaiah 61:11
For as the soil makes the sprout come up
and a garden causes seeds to grow,
so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness
and praise spring up before all nations.
Creator God,
You are the Lord of creation, the Giver of life and growth.
Just as the soil brings forth sprouts,
and a garden causes seeds to grow,
so too do You nurture love and praise in our hearts.
We thank You for the gift of this school community -
for our students, teachers, families and staff.
Plant within us the seeds of faith, hope and love.
Water them daily with Your Word,
and shine Your light upon our lives,
so that we may grow strong in virtue and truth.
May our actions reflect Your justice,
our words bring encouragement
and our lives be a witness to your love.
Amen.
