Book Week Wrap Up 

At the end of a magnificent week celebrating Children’s Book Week, on Friday at lunchtime, it was time to finalise our competition winners: 

• The Book Week Colouring Competition winners were Lottie M – Junior winner and Anne J - Middle winner. 

• The Suitcase Book Quiz winners were Luca G, Isabella A and Michael P. 

• The Adventure Map Competition winner was Aliesha B. 

• Our final prize went to a secondary student for their costume and the winner was Isabella S. 

Congratulations everyone.   

Library Lessons  

We are finishing off the term in Library exploring Digital Technologies. Students have been learning about data and how to “think like a computer”. 

We have also had stories about being online safely and the many dangers that come with the internet and social media. It has been really great to see how thoughtful and knowledgeable our students are about what they can do to be safe online and what they shouldn’t do.  

Holiday Reading  

A big thank you to all the families who continue to support their children's reading by purchasing books from Scholastic Book Club. We have put our rewards points to good use and have many great new titles ready to be borrowed for these school holidays. Hopefully the holidays bring some down time and we would love for students to be reading a story or two. Please come and see us if you would like some help choosing some books.
