Student Leadership

House Performing Arts Competition

Across August lunchtimes, 23 enthusiastic and talented students, two lunchtimes per week, planned an act for the House Performing Arts Competition. It was decided to create two groups to compete against each other on 8 September at our Nazareth Day celebrations, in front of a full school audience.

Group A choreographed by Alex, Annabelle and Gabi included:

Mannix:

Alex S

Annabelle E

Jada A

McCormack:

Amelia L

Thalia B

Knox:

Miguel K

Ovindee N

Madeline S

Sophie M

Gabi K

Group B choreographed by Alyssia N included:

Mackillop:

Jenaya N

Kasiana O

Emily D

Abbie D

Josh T

Jacob T

Josh S

Chisholm:

Jamie B

Rochelle B

Maddi P

Backstage, these students were supported by Caitlin Murray and Victoria Tsolakis.

Two fabulous and energetic performances ensued, with the judges having difficulty in splitting the two groups points wise. After considered deliberation, it was the McCormack, Knox and McCormack performers who took home the title and a $50 prize each, after the NCCA elected to sponsor the first year of this event, to give recognition to the students who took on this challenge, and in the hope that more creative students will join in next year.

Well done to all involved, and a special shout out to School Captain Gabi Kakerissa for being the driving force behind the HPAC.

The Annual Talent Quest consisted of seven entries and was won by Emily Diaz of Year 8, who performed a solo song.

Four Cosplayers presented on the day, with Blayke Hudson - Ruiz  deemed the outright winner by judge, Mitch Berryman. Audrey (Moona) Vescio was praised for her fully handmade costume.

Presentation Ball 2026 Information Night

Attention for current Year 10 Students

The past two years, Year 11s have organised their own Deb Ball through South East Presentation Events. This is a voluntary activity that students may wish to be part of.

Commitment involves a series of Dance Practices to learn the formal dances.

These rehearsals will be held in the Wheeler Auditorium on four Monday nights in Term 2 2026, probably mid May to mid June. It has been proposed that if enough students are interested in doing their Deb, it would be held on 20 June 2026.

Parents, if your son or daughter is interested in finding out more about the Deb, please attend the Information Session Tuesday 7 October.
