Year 12 Leadership Camp
The first kind of Year 12 leadership exposure ranged from running activities to cohesively making sure dinner was actually edible on both nights, at which, I must say, we did a very good job as the Mexican BBQ was amazing.
The camp was an opportunity for all 37 of us on the leadership council not only to get to know each other but also to understand how we all work and operate as communicators, leaders and – most importantly – people. Early in the day, after some wise words from Ms Provis and Mrs Sealy, we all completed a quiz which determined what type of leader we were; Warrior, Nurturer, Critical Thinker or Visionary. This created a foundation where we realised that we are all different kinds, and there is no one correct way of doing things as everyone is programmed differently.
Throughout the camp there were so many moments of fun, growth, bonding and even some ‘Leadership Camp Secrets’ that we have been told that we may not disclose. All these aspects helped to build the incredible experience that we had.
None of this would have been possible without the work of Mr Stevens, Mr Green and Ms Beechy, who all worked tirelessly planning behind the scenes tasks like day-to-day activities, food and transportation, which made a huge impact on the overall experience. They were a prime example of exemplary leadership, and showed how we can all strive to act proactively and efficiently.
The Leadership Camp was such an enjoyable experience and has put every one of us up-and-coming leaders in a much better place as we look to lead the College for the end of 2025 and the entirety of 2026.

Year 9 Chinese Excursion – Terracotta Warriors
Our Year 9 and 10 excursion to Northbridge was a very enjoyable and memorable day. For the majority of Term 3, we have been learning about food, particularly the major Chinese cuisines, and to extend our knowledge we travelled to Northbridge to experience Cantonese culture. First we headed to the Boola Bardip Museum of Western Australia, where we saw the Terracotta Warrior exhibition, which was both fascinating and shocking – seeing how tall and intricate the warriors were. Afterwards we walked to Moon Flower, a dim sum restaurant, where we shared and tried a variety of different dishes, a really interesting experience. Once lunch was finished, we explored Northbridge together, stopping at three different bubble tea shops to try different flavours and enjoy the drinks. To finish off, some of us had the chance to look around a few small shops before heading back, making the whole day a great learning opportunity.

All Saints’ Rowing Club – 2025 Act Belong Commit All Schools State Championship Regatta
“Get to the start line on time, stay in time with your crew, and finish the race.”Simple instructions. But simple doesn’t mean easy.
These words have become a quiet mantra for the All Saints’ rowing team over the seasons, and at the 2025 Act Belong Commit All Schools State Championship Regatta they went a long way toward shaping one of the team’s most successful regattas to date.
Each rower and coxswain arrived ready—not just physically, but mentally. The results were a reflection of that readiness.
The Year 10 mixed quad of Nishaan Sunner, Alicia Garvey, Connor Gee and Rosie Bennison, coxed by Amalie Furchtenicht, delivered a standout performance, rowing away with Gold. Nishaan and Connor followed up with Silver medals in the Double Scull and a composite Coxed Eight, while Nishaan also earned a Bronze in the Single Scull—a testament to consistency and grit.
Alicia and Rosie added to the medal tally with a Silver in their double, and Ophelia Goh, a Year 9 rower, fought hard to the line to claim Bronze in her single scull event.
Beyond the podium finishes, the regatta was a milestone for the team’s novice and junior rowers, who embraced the challenge of racing at this level. The senior crews raced with passion and purpose, showing how far they have come through the All Schools season.
The coaching staff were quietly proud—not just of the medals, but of the mindset. Progress was visible in every boat, every race, every recovery.
As the season closes, the team looks ahead to a summer of training. The goal isn’t just to win more races; it’s to stay consistent, keep showing up, keep improving and keep rowing in time—together.
Year 11 Outdoor Education General - Kayaking Expedition
Last week our Year 11 Outdoor Education students embarked on a remarkable three-day, two-night kayaking expedition along the Avon River. This experience was not only a physical challenge but also a powerful opportunity for personal growth and teamwork.
With high water levels creating exciting rapids and the weather providing perfect conditions, students were immersed in a dynamic and demanding environment.
Throughout the journey, they demonstrated outstanding resilience, communication and collaboration, qualities we strive to nurture in all our students.
It was inspiring to witness their kayaking skills develop significantly over the course of the expedition. More importantly, their ability to support one another, solve problems together and persevere through challenges reflected the very best of what Outdoor Education offers.
I commend the students for their positive attitudes, maturity and commitment to learning outside the classroom. Experiences like these build character, confidence and lifelong memories. A sincere thank you to our dedicated staff – Mr Nick Fletcher, Mrs Chantelle Tranter, Mr Luc Latino and Mr Dave Worthy – who made this expedition possible and ensured it was both safe and enriching.
We are proud of our Year 11 Outdoor Education students and look forward to seeing how they continue to grow through future adventures.
