2025 Wakakirri

Wakakirri Final
Last Monday 8 September, the Wakakirri Team travelled once again to the Frankston Performing Arts Centre to perform in the Wakakirri State Finals.
We started the day on a high, rehearsing the show twice before starting everyone’s hair and makeup. It was a great morning listening to music and getting motivated to perform our hard work on stage once again.
When we got there we set up, got ready for our first rehearsal and kept going with hair and makeup, with 117 kids, we all waited patiently for the glitz and glitter that was to come.
We had a few mishaps along the way, a few missing items, masks etc but of course we sorted out our issues as the show must go on! We spent a lot of time learning about the importance of mental health at the pre-show warm up, we learnt some new moves to the Wacky dance and then it was time for our pizza dinner.
We were first to perform, so we went straight from pizza to performance, we set up in stage to open the show and we absolutely nailed our very last Wakakirri performance. Everyone had great energy and faces and we just loved the experience.
Our speakers went on stage at the end of the night to accept awards and we were trilled to have received a NATIONAL AWARD NOMINATION.
Out of the other primary schools on the night, we were the only school to have been given the great award.
After working so hard all year on perfecting our performance we were both elated and relieved to have been given the honour of a National Award. Another amazing and successful Wacky year for Jells Park Primary School.
We will find out what National Awards we received on Monday 13th October 2025, we can’t wait to have a Wacky party and enjoy the Wacky TV results.
