Sunday 21st September - 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time
This Sunday, our Church celebrates the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time. In the Gospel, we read about a time when Jesus talked to his disciples and told about the importance of being faithful to themselves and others. The message for us today is to be faithful, which we can do by being honest, loving, trustworthy and helpful to others. We are reminded that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide us when we are faced with challenges when we’re making decisions throughout each day.
Gospel Reading: Lk 16:10-13 (Shorter Version)
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘The man who can be trusted in little things can be trusted in great; the man who is dishonest in little things will be dishonest in great. If then you cannot be trusted with money, that tainted thing, who will trust you with genuine riches? And if you cannot be trusted with what is not yours, who will give you what is your very own?
‘No servant can be the slave of two masters: he will either hate the first and love the second, or treat the first with respect and the second with scorn. You cannot be the slave both of God and of money.’

Sacrament of First Reconciliation
On Wednesday 3rd September our school community gathered to celebrate the Sacrament of First Reconciliation. A special thanks to the families and staff who attended and to Fr Colin for leading such a prayerful and beautiful celebration. We would also like to thank Ms Isobel Javier and Ms Emma Crotty for all their hard work with preparing the children so well for this next step in their journey of faith.

Saints Club News!
Putting our Mercy Values of ‘Service and Compassion’ into action!
Our focus this term has been to support the needy people in our local community by putting into action our Mercy Values of ‘Service and Compassion’. It has been pleasing to see our Year 6 leaders of the Saints Club confidently taking charge of supporting their group members with preparing the muffins.
A special thanks to our R.E. Team, Mrs Barbanera, Ms Lancaster and Ms Ruby, for their support with enabling this outreach opportunity to happen.
Last Wednesday me and some other children were making blueberry muffins. It was so much fun to make because we baked and had the time of our lives. We baked the muffins for The Hope Cafe!!! (:
