R U Okay Day

R U OK Day – A Sweet Treat for Students 🍓🍭

In recognition of U R OK Day today, students received a free Zooper Dooper or fruit tube at lunchtime to help celebrate kindness, connection, and looking out for one another, thank you to the Wellbeing Captains for helping distribute these.

The staff were treated to a lovely treat and a special morning tea provided by the leadership team.

There’s so much more!

Look out for a voucher for a free snag in your child’s bag next week.

Father's Day Stall

The students all love visiting the Father's Day stall and purchasing gifts for their special person in their lives.

This stall takes an immense amount of work, and we are very thankful for both Alison and Kerryn for planning organising and running this stall.

Well done ladies and thank you so much to all the wonderful parents who volunteered to work on the stall.

Lockdown Drill

On Tuesday 9 September, Beaumaris North Primary School conducted a scheduled lockdown drill as part of our ongoing commitment to student safety and emergency preparedness.

We’re pleased to share that the drill was carried out smoothly across all year levels, with students responding calmly and responsibly. These exercises are an important part of ensuring that our school community knows how to act quickly and safely in the unlikely event of an emergency.

We’d like to give a special shout-out to our Prep and Year 1 students, who demonstrated exceptional behaviour throughout the drill. Their quiet cooperation, attentive listening, and respectful conduct were truly impressive—well done to our youngest learners!

Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and caring environment for all students. If you have any questions about our emergency procedures, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.

BNPS Cake Stall

Don't forget to visit our cake stall this Saturday 13 September at the Beaumaris Concourse outside the IGA store from 7am until sold out!

The PFA would greatly appreciate any donations of cakes and baked treats for the event. Please deliver to the staffroom between 3.345pm.   Please only provide goods that do not need refrigerating.

Update On The Basketball Court

Earlier this year we shared that funds raised from the Colour Run and other school fundraising activities would go towards resurfacing our top basketball court. After months of research, discussions with suppliers, and visits to other schools, we’re excited to provide you with an update on this project.

We have chosen the Laykold® Masters Float system — a premium cushioned sports surface specifically designed to perform well on cracked or shifting bases, making it the ideal solution for our court. Along with the resurfacing, we will be upgrading the backboards and rings for both netball and basketball and installing new nets and protective pads.

Work will begin early next term, starting with the installation of the new backboards and rings, followed by the resurfacing once the weather improves, likely in early November. These upgrades will provide our students with a safe, high-quality court to enjoy, while also benefiting the broader community who regularly use the courts for training after school and on weekends.

End of Term

A special Assembly will be held on Wednesday 17 September at 2.45pm- 3.30pm to farewell our Principal Sherril Duffy.

The end of term assembly will be held on Friday 19 September 2pm.

School finishes 2.30pm and resumes for Term 4 on Monday 6 October.
