Year 4 News

Maths

Over the past two weeks, our Year 4 students have been diving into the exciting world of data! They’ve been learning how to craft relevant survey questions, collect meaningful data, and organize their findings using frequency tables.

To bring their data to life, students practiced creating graphs both the traditional way—with rulers and pencils—and digitally using Microsoft Excel. This hands-on approach has helped them understand data representation from multiple perspectives.

The students have been deeply engaged in our "Who We Are" inquiry unit, exploring the human body and how to keep it healthy.

Their oral presentations showcased impressive confidence and knowledge. Building on this, students teamed up based on shared interests in specific body systems and have been collaborating to investigate them further.

Each group has been preparing creative displays—ranging from games, posters and models to digital presentations using PowerPoint or Canva. Their enthusiasm and teamwork have been outstanding.

At the Year 4 Showcase yesterday, they are absolutely brimming with excitement and confidence, eager to share their learning with the wider school community.

It’s been a wonderful fortnight of discovery and teamwork—well done, Year 4!
