FAREWELL YEAR 12

Muck Up Fun for a Great Cause
MONDAY
1st letter of your name
Monday 22nd September was our Year 12 students take part in their Muck Up Day theme – ‘1st letter of your name’ costumes
In true creative spirit, they also found another way to boost their fundraising efforts for the Belinda McGowan Foundation – by making staff pay for parking at the front of the school in the morning!
A big thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and supported their charity – our students are making their last days of school both memorable and meaningful.
Buddy Auction
At lunchtime on Monday, our Year 12 students ran a lively auction fundraiser in support of the Belinda McGowan Foundation.
Staff and students got involved in the bidding wars, with plenty of laughs along the way. The top bid of the day went to Ben W, Year 10, who scored a bulk lot of John, Lawson and Luke, while the Year 10 boys put up a spirited fight against teachers to outbid for the Year 12 girls!
A huge thank you to Mr Stewart for stepping up as our boisterous auctioneer – bringing plenty of energy and entertainment to the event.
A fantastic effort by Year 12 – turning creativity and good humour into support for a very important cause.
Monday day’s Year 12 fundraising auction
came to life on Tuesday as Mrs Mason’s Year 12 “buddies” fulfilled their commitment by assisting in her Year 7 HSIE class during Period 2.
It was a fun way to celebrate student leadership and school spirit while supporting a great cause. A big thank you to Kevin, Angelina, Myleigh, Ellie & Claire —aka The Wiggles (Murray, Jeff & Anthony ), Jonah from Tonga
and Mr G
TUESDAY
Childhood Dream Careers
Year 12 are certainly made their last week one to remember while raising funds for the Belinda McGowan Foundation.
On Tuesday 23rd September the theme was “Aussie Icon or your dream career as a child.”
The school was full of colour and laughs, with The Wiggles, Bluey, Hi-Vis workers, lifesavers, VB Beer, the Irwins, and even B1 & B2 making an appearance!
Special mentions go to Logan B as a classic yobbo with his “bring back the biff” vibe, and Sophie G who impressed everyone as Nedd Brockmann, the legendary ultramarathon runner.
WEDNESDAY
Car Wash Wednesday
Wednesday morning our Year 12 students rolled up their sleeves for a car wash fundraiser at school – giving staff cars a sparkling clean while raising money for their chosen charity, the Belinda McGowan Foundation.
The students then moved to Goodyear Tyres, continuing their efforts to raise funds for this important cause.
It was a fun, energetic morning full of teamwork, laughter and lots of suds – with every dollar going to support the Belinda McGowan Foundation.
THURSDAY
Camping Out
A Surprise Wake-Up for Mr Lennon
What a way to start Thursday! Year 12 Year Advisor Mr Lennon woke up this morning to find his Year 12 students camped out on his lawn.
The fun didn’t stop there – they went on to cook him a hearty breakfast of bacon and eggs to kick off the day.
Celebrations continue with a presentation from the Belinda McGowan Foundation, followed by a staff and student luncheon in the COLA, where everyone will be dressed in their best Charity themed outfits.
Charity Presentation
Thursday we were fortunate to welcome representatives from the Belinda McGowan Foundation to our school. They spoke with our Year 12 students about the important work being done by their organisation, and their appreciation in the Year 12's Charity fundraising towards a 'cuddle bed' for Inverell Hospital.
This presentation was a valuable reminder of the impact our students’ fundraising efforts are making in the community. We sincerely appreciate the Foundation taking the time to visit and speak with our Year 12s.
Well done to our students for their ongoing commitment to supporting such a meaningful cause.
Student and Staff Lunch
To wrap up a big week of fundraising, our Year 12 students and staff came together today for a luncheon in the COLA, dressed up in their best charity-themed outfits.
It’s been an incredible effort by Year 12 this week – from creative fundraisers and car washes, to their Charity Night and today’s luncheon – showing teamwork, spirit and generosity every step of the way.
