Outstanding Achievement at NSWCHS Athletics 

During week 8, Jack P delivered an incredible performance at the NSWCHS Athletics Championships in Sydney. Competing in tough, wet conditions, Jack came away with two gold medals:

Discus – 59.07m (a huge throw in miserable weather!)

Shot Put – 16.80m

This marks Jack’s third consecutive year winning double gold in these events – an outstanding achievement that highlights his talent, determination, and consistency at the highest level.

Congratulations Jack on your continued success – we are all extremely proud of you!

Boxing Fun at ProActive Health & Fitness!

Our students are having a fantastic time at ProActive Health and Fitness, getting active and learning new boxing skills as part of their sport program.

A big thank you to the team for hosting and encouraging our students—it was an energetic and engaging session!

Under 14s Boys Cricket – IHS vs Macintyre High 

On Wednesday 24th September our Under 14s Boys took on Macintyre High School in the U14s Cricket Competition.

Macintyre won the toss and sent IHS in to bat. Brothers Ryan S (60* retired) and Lachlan S (30) set a strong foundation –  – before Lachlan K (23) and Warwick F (29) kept the scoreboard ticking. With Ryan unselfishly retiring to give everyone a go, IHS posted a solid 207 runs in 29 overs.

With the ball, the boys were on fire! Riley W claimed three early wickets, with Eric T adding one thanks to a sharp catch by Lachlan K. From there, the wickets were shared evenly with one each to Mitchell R, Warwick F, Royce B, Blake M, Lachlan S and Kaden B, bowling MHS out for just 54 runs.

A huge thank you to Preston L and Hollie W for helping with umpiring and scoring.

The boys now move forward to verse the winner of Tenterfield and Glen Innes High Schools next term. Well done, team!
