Term 3 Showcase - by Marsarlina & Valentina
Last term, the whole school had a showcase and it was all about showing off everything that all the year levels had been working on. Our class, 5/6L, had been very busy with the showcase, finishing things such as the dioramas, our 'Fruits of the Holy Spirit' posters, our historical letters, and our information reports. The theme of our showcase was 'Step Back in Time', as we studied the history of the Gold Rush in Inquiry. It was an amazing way to finish the term.
Scienceworks Excursion
On Tuesday, we went to Scienceworks to kick off our Term 4 Inquiry Unit - Journey to Discovery. Here are some of the highlights:
- Kaley - I loved seeing the rubber duck getting destroyed with a hammer after it was frozen with liquid nitrogen.
- William - My highlight was designing my own futuristic car.
- Summer - I got to make a pin about humanity.
- Olive - Trying my luck against the sprinting simulator. I was faster than Cathy Freeman!
- Spencer - I loved the teleporting machine.
- Mackenzie - My highlight was seeing lots of different types of experiments with the liquid nitrogen.
- Lily - I liked the sound room best, it was a lot of fun.
- Valentina - I liked the skeleton on the bike, and when you rode it copied what you did.
- Willow - I liked the goalie game, where you had to pretend to be a goalie in the VR booth.
