We hope that you all had a wonderful, restful break.
On the final day of last term, we shared our learning from term 3 with the other classes across the school, as well as many family members who visited our classroom.
Here are some of us sharing our work.
This term, our focus will be on the 2025 The Year of Jubilee, Pilgrims of Hope. This week we explored what it means to be a pilgrim and take a journey - sometimes this can be hard work! We also explored the theme of forgiveness through the story of Zacchaeus. The children had a lot of fun re-enacting the story in groups.
This term our Inquiry topic is all about Science.
We will be learning about;
- how to think like scientists,
- making a hypothesis,
- carrying out experiments
- observing what happens
- explaining our results.
Today we observed an experiment.
"What will happen when we put sultanas in soda water?"
We made our hypothesis, observed what happened and recorded the results.
We have started reading, Enid Blyton's 'The Enchanted Wood'. In this magical story, three ordinary children discover a magical tree in the woods, filled with wondrous lands and quirky characters. They make friends with the characters Moon-Face, Silky, and Saucepan Man, embarking on thrilling adventures in the ever-changing lands above the tree. This story is great for fuelling the imagination!
Andrew is visiting us for workshops and a concert.
Look forward to seeing you in the Red Centre on Tuesday!
