Principal's Message

SchoolVision - To empower students to shape and  enrich the world around them.

Welcome to our first newsletter of the year. We have had a brilliant start to the year with students and staff displaying plenty of energy and enthusiasm as they get to build relationships with their new class.

'BUILDING THE FOUNDATIONS' AFTERNOON

Our Foundation (Prep) students have made a wonderful start to the year and their schooling journey. To build on this we would like to invite all 2024 Foundation parents to our 'Building the Foundations' presentation at 2:30pm on Monday 4th March at the school. We will be delivering information about a new, evidence-based literacy approach that we are implementing this year with our Foundation students as well as discussing how you can best support these approaches at home.

We will also discuss how we can further support our students' ongoing transition, as well as ways to continue to develop our parent/school partnership.

SCHOOL COUNCIL

Over the next week or two we will commence our election process for school council. Being a school councillor is a great way to have a positive impact on our school. Councillors are involved in decision making that directly impacts on the opportunities that our students have as well as the governance of the school. Please look out for further information shortly.

FUNDRAISING

Thank you to all of our families and the broader community who contributed to fundraising throughout 2023. Some of these funds were allocated to upgrading our IT hardware. This week we have ordered a large suite of iPad devices to give us newer models as well as improve student/device ratios in classrooms.

SCHOOL FAIR

A reminder that our school fair is on Friday March 1st from 4:30pm-8pm. We hope to see you there and please make sure you invite others from outside of our school community.
