CONGRATULATIONS ON A GREAT SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT!

Exciting news! Zen has clinched two national-level gold medals as part of the Docklands Ice Wolves. Competing in both the U9 and U11 age divisions at the Melt The Ice, a youth ice hockey competition in Brisbane, he faced off against athletes from across the country. Zen's impressive total of 17 goals, including a hat trick in the championship match, secured his victory. For this, he also received the super skills award from his club. Attached photos capture his proud smile alongside his two medals and a trophy. Zen's parents are thrilled to share this achievement with the school community and couldn't be prouder.

Zen is now gearing up to defend his title in the IHV state league. He's also headed to

another national competition in June and his first international competition in New Zealand later this year.

YEAR 5 & 6 NEWS

Year 5 and 6 students have settled back into school with ease, and we have spent time this week setting up our learning environments.

All classes have investigated our 5 Students' Values of -

Be Involved, Be Curious, Be Connected, Be a Leader, and Be a Team.

They have discussed what these values look, feel, and sound like in our classrooms and in the yard. This is helping us to form a set of agreements of our expectations at South Melbourne Park Primary. We have also had a lot of fun, playing games, making art work to be displayed in our spaces, choosing class novels and much more.

We are excited to welcome 3 new teachers to the level with Ms McIntosh teaching 5C, Mr Sandison teaching 5B and Mrs Rosengarten teaching 5A Monday's and Tuesdays.
