Going Green

Hello to all our new parents!

Traci here- Yes music …….but also head of sustainability!

We made HUGE progress last year! No more soy sauce tubes, no more tomato sauce sachets! Grades have bulk bottles which get refilled at the canteen regularly….. YAY

No more cutlery or straws BYO EVERYTHING and we are saving the planet! Please pack a spare set!

We have recycle takeaway coffee cup depositories at the front and rear of the school but if someone accidently puts a juice box in, the whole tube is CONTAMINATED and my environmental captains have to put the whole tube in the bin 😩

WE are starting up compost bins again (watch this space)

I am attending a recycle PD at Mentone Primary and I will come back with heaps of ideas. The CERES rep came out last year and was SOOOO complimentary on what we have achieved in such a short time!
