SJM Athletics Carnival

St Joseph’s Athletics Carnival Recap
Congratulations to Red House!
What a phenomenal effort by Red House to take out the 2025 Athletics Carnival!
A huge shoutout to all our students for their effort and sportsmanship today!
Despite a bit of rain and a windy day, the St Joseph’s Athletics Carnival was a fun-filled event that fostered teamwork, sportsmanship, and a healthy dose of friendly competition!
Our students showcased their athletic abilities across a variety of events, despite the challenges posed by the weather.
The day kicked off with vibrant cheers and enthusiastic spirit as participants lined up for novelty events. The egg and spoon race tested both balance and coordination, while the hula hoop pass had students giggling as they worked together to keep the hoop moving in a relay format. The baton race also added an exciting element of speed and teamwork, with students striving to complete their legs of the race in record time.
In addition to the novelty events, our young athletes demonstrated their strength and agility in traditional track and field competitions, including the shot put. It was impressive to watch as students cheered for one another.
Unfortunately, due to wet conditions, we had to finish the carnival a bit earlier than planned. However, enthusiasm remained high throughout the day, bringing students, teachers, and families together to celebrate athleticism and camaraderie.
A huge thank you to Mrs Birch for her exceptional organisation and leadership in running our Athletics Carnival. We also extend our appreciation to our teachers and parent helpers, your support ensured the day ran smoothly and was a great success.
Special congratulations to our House Captains—Oscar, Alfred, Pip, Lucy, Max, Victor, Charlotte, and Bekim—for their leadership and enthusiasm throughout the event.
Again, a big congratulations to Red House, who took out the 2025 Athletics Day!
Well done to all our students for their participation, effort, and teamwork. It was a day filled with fun, competition, and school spirit—we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
Go St Joseph's!
