Kambala Music Festival Afternoon Arrangements Sunday 16 March, 2025 for Year 5 and 6 Parents and Students

Students in Year 5 and Year 6 will be performing on the evening of the Festival of Music, Sunday 16 March 2025 at the Sydney Opera House. The Festival of Music usually concludes at approximately 9.45 – 10.00pm.

This is a compulsory school event for Year 5 and 6 students.

All Junior School students in Year 5 and Year 6 will be required to be at School on Sunday afternoon 16 March 2025 at 2.45pm in summer uniform and blazers (the Opera House can get quite cold – please be sure to bring blazers. Panama hats are NOT REQUIRED).

We ask that Students be dropped off at school at Tivoli Carline at 2.45pm for roll call in their classrooms, and at 3.00pm SHARP they will be bused to the Opera House for the rehearsal.  We will then ask parents to meet their daughters at 5.00pm at the Foyer of the Sydeny Opera House and remain in Circular Quay to have an early dinner in various locations.

Junior School Students will then be seated at 6.45pm for the concert to begin at 7.00pm.

Please note that Monday 17 March, 2025 will be a rest day for students in Year 5 and 6 due to the late evening and significant time commitment involved.

**Please note - there will be NO Year 5 and Year 6 Extra Curricular activities on Monday 17 March due to the rest day.

Blazers are recommended on the night as the Opera House can get quite chilly, however the girls will not be wearing blazers during their performance. The Junior School girls will sing in the first half of the program, after which they will relax and enjoy the performances of the Senior School students. At the end of the night (approximately 10:00 pm), the Junior School girls are asked to remain in their seats in the Stalls until they are met by an adult.

Please do not arrange to meet your daughter outside the auditorium; we must know that she has left safely with an adult. Please refrain from stepping onto the stage - all students in the choir stalls are moved to the main stalls in front of the stage at the end of the evening.

Younger Kambala sisters attending the Festival should be in their school summer uniform on the night.
