The events of Holy Week

As Term One comes to a close, we take the time this week to pause and remember the events that took place in the lead up to Jesus' death on the Cross and his Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

In our classrooms over the last few weeks, we have been learning all about the Easter Season and why this Season is so important to us as Christians. Teachers and students have been busy preparing an installation per grade of one of the events of Holy Week. Today we began our "Walk Through Holy Week" guided tour in Kenna Hall. What amazing installations staff and students have come up with! I thank all who were involved in making our "Walk Through Holy Week" so reverent and special.

Parents are invited to join their children as their grade walks through the installations. Below is the timetable for these for the next two days.

Altar Servers Commissioning and Robing

On Sunday many of our Year Four and Year Five students were commissioned and robed as Altar Servers for our Parish. Congratulations to all of you! These students were treated to a morning of games and lunch. We thank you for volunteering your service to our Parish.

Did you know?

Easter Sunday marks the beginning of the Easter Season within the Church's Liturgical Year. The Easter Season goes for 50 days and concludes with Pentecost Sunday. This is why our school celebrates Jesus' Resurrection and our Easter Hat Parade AFTER the holidays and after Easter Sunday.

Have a lovely and restful school break. May God's blessings be upon you and your families throughout Easter and I look forward to seeing you all next Term.
