New Faces 2025

Ms Amy Durham
I am honoured to continue my teaching journey at Nazareth College in 2025. I have been teaching for over 10 years in the government system overseeing a range of different programs and am excited at the prospect of further developing my teaching skills with a Catholic lens. This year I will be teaching Year 8 for Health and Physical Education and Years 7-9 for Science.
Outside of the College I am a mum to two young boys who like to keep my on my toes. I enjoy taking my dog, Goose, for walks and going to the gym. I also love to cook and spend much of my time in the kitchen trying new recipes from different cultures.
I look forward to getting to know everyone in the Nazareth community.
Mrs Terri Yoshida
I'm excited to join the Nazareth College community as a Japanese and Italian teacher. I've been teaching Languages for 30 years, including English (in Japan) and Korean. I grew up in Mildura and spent four years living in Japan with my husband's (Japanese) family. I have two teenagers of my own who are full of advice about how to survive secondary teaching, but so far, I find Nazareth students to be friendly, modest and helpful. I love spending my free time at the beach or working on my pottery wheel. I'm truly honoured to be part of this amazing school and look forward to getting to know everyone.
Ms Manjula Algama
My name is Manjula Algama, and I am excited to be a Maths teacher at Nazareth College. My background is in Mathematics and Statistics, and I have been fortunate to teach across several universities in Melbourne, including Monash University, Monash College, RMIT, and Swinburne Online for the past 12 years.
I am passionate about helping secondary students recognize the relevance of mathematics, problem-solving, and data literacy in their daily lives and future careers.
I look forward to getting to know the wider Nazareth community.

I will be teaching Geography, Physical Education and Outdoor Ed, as well as being a Pastoral Teacher in McCormack. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, staying active and spend my weekends umpiring football.
Ms Angela LaRiccia
My name is Angela LaRiccia and I am looking forward to continuing my teaching career here at Nazareth. I have come from St Peter's College in Cranbourne where I worked for the last 20 years within the Science, Religious Education and Mathematics departments. I will be teaching similar subjects here, as well as taking the McAuley 7 Pastoral Group. I have been very impressed at how staff and students have welcomed me into the College. In my free time, I enjoy spending time travelling with my two daughters and my husband and going to the football to watch the best team in the AFL, Carlton, of course!
