Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Guardians and friends of Nazareth
As you are aware, this year, Nazareth College celebrates 40 years since its commencement. During this time, there were many concerns about whether students would attend the College, which consisted of a few portable classrooms surrounded by dirt and grounds desperate for landscaping.
Forty years have passed, and we estimate that 24,000 students, together with their respective parents, have been educated at Nazareth College. The early Pioneers and Committees may never have imagined the significance that Nazareth College had in opening its doors in 1986.
Scattered around the College, we have many displays with photos celebrating our 40 years. On Thursday 20 March, we have our Opening School Mass at St Patrick's Cathedral, commencing at 10.30 am for an 11.00 am service. All families, past and present, are invited to attend this significant celebration marking 40 years of Catholic Coeducation in and around the surrounding areas of Noble Park North. Please email angie.palmer@nazareth.vic.edu.au should you wish to attend this significant Mass.
The College had an Open Evening on Tuesday with 450 people visiting the College. This, again, was an ideal opportunity to showcase our wonderful College with all its programs, facilities and opportunities. Our current enrolments continue to be highly positive.
At Nazareth College we continue to build on what our three previous Principals, Mr Paul D’Astoli (1986 to 1996), Mr Gregory Clarke (1997 to 2006), Mrs Anne McDonald (2007 to 2016) and staff established during their time at the College.
God Bless
Mr Sam Cosentino
Principal
