CELEBRATING HOLI

This week, we celebrated Holi, the Hindu Festival of Colours, Love, and Spring! The Banksia kindergarten group watched a video to learn more about Holi, where people scatter colourful powder made from dried and crushed hibiscus, orchid, marigold, and iris petals. 

We embraced the spirit of the festival with vibrant activities both indoors and outdoors, much to the children’s delight! This was an excellent opportunity for artistic expression. At the art table, the children used pipettes and diluted food colouring to create beautiful designs on paper napkins. Outside, we made colourful prints by spraying a white cloth with dyes in red, blue, yellow, and green. Besides having a great time, we learned how mixing these colours create new colours and hues 🌈
