Formula 1 Excursion

On Thursday 13 March 2025, students from the Motorsport Club were given the opportunity to attend the FORMULA 1 LOUIS VUITTON AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX at Albert Park as part of the Driving Learning Program.
The program provided students of the club,
me included, who are passionate about racing and motorsport to get close to the cars we usually see zooming around racetracks on the screen. We were able to watch the 911 GT3 cup cars the V8 Supercars roar around Albert Park, which filled us with great excitement and happiness.
Apart from the racing we were provided with the chance to take part in many F1 oriented events such as the simulators, pit stop challenge, G-Force simulator and F1 Lego building sessions.
Aside from all the fun stuff, we got to learn about the technology and engineering that went into crafting the complex machines that race around the track, helping us gain a further insight into how motorsport is constantly evolving as technology changes so quickly. This helped us see how in just 10 years, the level of technology employed by the teams and different manufacturers alike increased tenfold.
Overall, this excursion provided all those who attended with the chance to learn new things and ideas about motorsport, whether it be giving longtime fans the chance to see racing up close, or those who weren't so inclined about that sport to expand their horizons with new interests.
