Remembrance Day
On Tuesday, we took time to acknowledge Remembrance Day — a day to honour and remember those who have served and those who have lost their lives in wars and peacekeeping operations. It was wonderful to have some of our Level 4 students conduct a ceremony over the PA at 11am, showing great respect and leadership. I also had the privilege of accompanying our school captains to the cenotaph for the community Remembrance Day service, where they represented Echuca East with pride.

Parent Payments
To continue providing high-quality programs, our school relies greatly on the financial support of our community. These contributions help fund essential items such as classroom stationery, digital learning subscriptions, student devices, and photocopying.
While school funding is a complex topic, we want to sincerely thank our families for their ongoing support. Your contributions enable us to maintain the rich, well-resourced learning environment that makes Echuca East Primary School such a special place.
Parent payment notifications were sent home earlier in the week and more details can be found on the next page of the newsletter.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the office.
Prep Transition
Our first formal one-hour transition session will take place on Tuesday morning, starting at 10:15am. Over the coming weeks, these sessions will give our future Preps the opportunity to further familiarise themselves with their new learning environment, meet more of our staff, and connect with their future classmates. We look forward to continuing to support them as they take this exciting next step in their school journey. Parents of 2026 Preps should have already received information regarding transition earlier in the week. Please make sure you register your child to attend each session.
Whole School Transition
Today we held our first whole-school transition session. This provided students with the opportunity to “step up” into their next year level for half an hour and begin familiarising themselves with their 2026 learning environment.
At this stage, staffing for next year has not yet been finalised, so these sessions are not based on 2026 class teachers. Instead, they’re designed to give students a sense of what to expect next year, an opportunity to ask questions, and to help ease any worries about the transition ahead.
There will be several more sessions over the coming weeks as we continue to support a smooth and positive start to 2026.
Term 4
We know Term 4 is always one of the busiest times of the school year, and it’s hard to believe we’re already more than halfway through! It’s been a wonderful start, filled with celebrations and successes, and there’s still plenty more to look forward to. Please keep an eye on Sentral for the latest updates and key dates for our upcoming events.
Wishing everyone a restful weekend.
