Foundation

We are halfway through Term 4 and the Foundation students have been busy learning and growing. It'll be an exciting few weeks as we look towards ending the year with confidence, independence and excitement!

Literacy

In Literacy we have been learning about the split digraphs u_e and o_e, and learning to write words with these split digraphs in sentences. Over the last two weeks we have also been continuing to work on our narratives. We have been writing and editing our work to include lots of descriptive sentences to create interesting stories. In reading we have been continuing to explore weather and seasons and will apply them to our Inquiry project soon!

Numeracy

In Numeracy, we have been revisiting place value using hands on materials such as bundles/sticks and MAB blocks. We have been practising recognising and making different numbers using these practical materials to model our understanding.

Pyjama Day

On Monday, we saw lots of Foundations looking quite cosy and comfortable in their PJ's!

Remembrance Day

On Tuesday, we paused to honour Remembrance Day - A time to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who served and those who continue to serve for our freedom. The Foundations joined together in gratitude, remembrance, and hope.
