Level 3

We have been very busy lately in Level 3!
Literacy
In Literacy, we have been exploring a variety of poetry styles, including biography poems, diamante poems, and kennings. They have enjoyed experimenting with different structures and language features to express their ideas creatively. As part of this unit, students also wrote a poem of their choice for Remembrance Day, connecting their learning to this important occasion.
PJ Day
Students enjoyed coming to school in their pyjamas to help raise funds for the school!
Maths
In Maths, students have been learning about decimals and how they connect to fractions and percentages. They’ve explored these ideas through hands-on activities and real-life examples to strengthen their understanding. Students have also been investigating probability and chance lately, using graphs and data to discuss the likelihood of different events occurring.
Swimming
Towards the end of our swimming week, Level 3's took part in a special water survival session. During this lesson, they simulated real-life scenarios where they might unexpectedly find themselves in the water. They practised important safety skills, including how to stay calm, assist others, and make their way to safety. It was a valuable experience that helped build both confidence and awareness around water safety.
