Big Question – How Can I Bring Hope to Others This Advent Season?

This week, we begin our new Big Question: “How can I bring hope to others this Advent season?”  Advent is a time of waiting and preparing our hearts for the coming of Jesus at Christmas. Over the next four weeks, each week will focus on a different theme of Advent — Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love

Our theme for this week is Hope — the light that reminds us good things are coming. In classrooms, students will explore what it means to bring hope to others through their words, actions, and kindness. Hope can be something as simple as including someone who feels left out, helping a friend in need, or sharing an encouraging word.

Our School Blitz this week is Moving Around in the Hallways & Lining Up for Class — a great way to show respect and care for others as we prepare for this special season.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

Last Wednesday, eight of our students celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation at St Kilian’s Parish. It was a beautiful evening led by Fr Junray, alongside Fr Boniface and Fr Jinjo.

We congratulate Paitynn, Amira, Niklaus, Nikolai, Hunter, Tai, and George on this important step in their faith journey. Reconciliation reminds us of God’s endless love and forgiveness — it’s a chance to say sorry, to heal, and to start fresh with a peaceful heart. Next year, these students will continue their journey of faith as they prepare for the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation.

A big thank you to Mr Wilkinson and Mr Podosky, who prepared the students and families for this special occasion over the past five weeks.

RIAC Parent & Carer Morning – This Wednesday, 9am (Djak Tjarra)

All parents and carers are warmly invited to join us this Wednesday morning for a cuppa and chat in Djak Tjarra. Carolyn from RIAC will once again be attending to offer information and support around NDIS, carer advocacy, and family assistance.

Swap Meet Car Parking

A huge thank you to our incredible team of volunteers — parents, students, and staff — who supported car parking during the Swap Meet last Saturday. Your efforts helped raise valuable funds for our school while showcasing the spirit of teamwork and community that makes St Peter’s so special.

We are so grateful for the generosity of everyone who gave up their Saturday morning — the total funds raised was $930.

Student Intentions for 2026

As we begin planning for 2026, we assume that all students currently enrolled in Prep to Year 5 will be returning next year.

If your family is not returning to St Peter’s in 2026, we kindly ask that you notify the front office as soon as possible. Having accurate enrolment information helps us plan class structures, staffing, and resources to best support all students in the year ahead.

Thank you for your assistance and for helping us prepare effectively for another great year at St Peter’s.

Prep Transition 2026 – Session 3

Our third Prep Transition session for 2026 families will take place on Tuesday, 25th November, from 9:30–11am.  This session will give children another opportunity to explore their new learning space, while parents attend an important presentation about starting school in 2026. Uniform samples will be on display, and our CES Speech Pathologist will be present to share insights and answer questions.

We look forward to welcoming all our new families again — it’s certainly a session not to be missed!

Prayer for the Week – The Gift of Reconciliation

Loving God,

We thank You for Your kindness and forgiveness.

Bless the students who have made their Sacrament of Reconciliation — may they always feel Your peace and love in their hearts.

Help all of us to remember that no matter what, You are always ready to listen when we say sorry and try again.

Guide us to forgive others as You forgive us, and to bring kindness and hope wherever we go.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

God Bless,
