Celebrating the Power of Music at Woodville Gardens School

At Woodville Gardens School, music is more than just a subject—it is a vibrant part of our community. The first of our recent Arts Extravaganza Concert at the Parks Theatre was a resounding success, showcasing the talents, teamwork, and dedication of our students, staff, and families. The event featured captivating performances by our violin and band students, supported by a team of passionate educators and volunteers.

Our music program offers all students opportunities to perform, collaborate, and grow.

These experiences enhance students’ confidence, creativity, and social skills, while also building a strong sense of connectedness and belonging. Through music, students explore rhythm, listening, and composition—all key components of the Australian Curriculum and effective pedagogy.

We are also proud of our strong partnerships with local specialist high schools including Woodville High School, and the Department for Education Instrumental Music Service, providing clear pathways for students to continue their music journey. These connections enrich our curriculum and inspire students to pursue their interests in music beyond primary school.

Thank you to everyone who contributes to making our music program so special. We look forward to more exciting performances and learning opportunities, as we continue to celebrate the role of music in education and in bringing our community together.
