DCS Community Barista Morning - A Brew-tiful Success!

We recently hosted a Basic Barista Morning, and what a fantastic turnout we had! A wonderful group of ladies joined us to learn new coffee-making skills and share a fun, hands-on experience.

During the session, we explored the essentials of crafting the perfect cup:

  • Tamping for a great coffee shot

  • Stretching milk to silky perfection

  • Pouring the ultimate latte

  • And of course, enjoying the delicious final product!

It was an incredibly productive morning—so much so that even the seasoned professionals picked up a few new tips!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and participated. The interest was overwhelming, and we are excited to announce that we will be hosting another Basic Barista Course next year. Stay tuned for details!

Devonport Christmas Parade

We are thrilled to announce that the DCS Community is putting together a float for this year’s Devonport Christmas Parade — and we want you to be a part of it!

This is a beautiful opportunity to celebrate the season, share the joy of Jesus, and showcase our amazing school community to the people of Devonport.

We are looking for all parents and students to join walking beside the float, handing out flyers and candy canes, and wear your best Christmas outfit (think festive, fun, and respectful!)

The parade kicks off at 3:30pm on Sunday, 7th December. Let’s come together to bring real joy to the streets of Devonport and share the true meaning of Christmas with our community. If you would like to be involved, simply turn up at Round House Park, Victoria Parade, Devonport. Please aim toturn up 10 minutes early to make sure we are all positioned to go! Let’s make this Christmas parade one to remember!
