Walking Tour of Rockley

On Thursday we had the pleasure of a walking tour through Rockley with Jasmin.

Jasmin taught us about the history of the town and its buildings. While she imparted her knowledge we wrote notes and took photos. We will use this new-found information with Miss Milgate over the coming weeks to write and create artworks for Rockley's upcoming 175th year celebrations.

Playgroup

Our school continues to enjoy welcoming our newest families through Playgroup each week. It has been lovely to see the children becoming more familiar and confident in the school environment as they explore the sandpit, visit and feed our chickens, play on the equipment and ride the swing bikes.

Playgroup is a wonderful opportunity for children and families to connect with our school in a relaxed and welcoming way. We love seeing new faces at Rockley Public School, so if you are yet to visit, please pop in for a play. We would be delighted to welcome you.

Book Week

On Monday 24th August, we welcome students, families and playgroup families to join us as we celebrate the joy of reading during Book Week!

The celebrations will begin with our Book Parade at 9:05am, where students are invited to share their favourite book characters and creative costumes with our school community. Following the parade, families are welcome to enjoy a range of book-inspired activities, including craft, a scavenger hunt and morning tea treats.

Our classrooms will also be open for families to come in and explore the exciting learning happening every day. We look forward to celebrating the wonderful world of books and sharing this special event with our school community!
