10 QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR SON THAT ARENT 'HOW WAS YOUR DAY?"

As parents and carers, one of the simplest ways we can support our children's wellbeing is by creating opportunities for meaningful conversations. While the usual "How was your day?" often results in a quick "good," asking more thoughtful questions can open the door to deeper discussions about friendships, learning, feelings, and experiences.

The attached resource shares ten simple questions that can help spark genuine conversations with your child. Whether you're driving in the car, walking together, or sharing an activity, these prompts encourage connection without feeling like an interview.

Building strong relationships doesn't require long conversations every day. Sometimes, one well-timed question and a willingness to listen can make all the difference. We encourage families to give one or two of these questions a try this week and enjoy the opportunity to learn a little more about your child's world.

This resource states it working for boys especially, however all children will benefit from the relationship building that occurs from asking these questions and listening to their responses.
