CARITAS ART COMPETITION

What a wonderful response we had at our Caritas Art competition session last week. The Spiritual Wellbeing leaders did a wonderful job explaining the project and sharing some ideas for what students could do. We can't wait to see what they create!

ICE PACKS - by Chelsea

Our wonderful Year 6 student Chelsea noticed that the ice pack cover supply in the Sick Bay was running low. She cut the pieces of fabric to size, wrote kind messages on the fabric such as "feel better soon" and used her sewing machine to complete the finished ice packs. Thank you, Chelsea. 

5/6 ART

How stunning are these pieces of 5/6 art?! Students experimented with showing movement by drawing these shaking dogs! They then stuck them on black cardboard and added splashes of blue paint.

GRADE 5/6 STATE BUDGETS

The Year 5/6s enjoyed a task about State Budgets today. We are currently learning about government and voting. Students were given 10 counters and were asked to allocate their counters to each of the 5 main sectors, based on what their beliefs. They enjoyed lots of interesting discussion about what each sector includes and how much of a difficult task it must be to manage any type of budget. We may have some budding politicians amongst us!

CLASS MEALS

There is something special about sharing a meal together. This term, the return of our Class Meals is bringing students, families and staff together around the table, creating moments of connection, conversation and joy.

These simple yet meaningful gatherings foster a genuine sense of belonging, cultivating connectedness, dignity and a shared identity. In these moments, we see our community flourishing as they learn what it means to live life to the full.

Thank you to Mrs Battersby and our wonderful volunteer, Maxine, for preparing these meals. And to the families who joined us for our first class meal this term, thank you for being part of these special moments of community.
