From the Principal

Dear Families,
It was a great joy to be part of the installation of Bishop René Ramírez as the ninth Bishop of Sandhurst. This was a significant occasion for our Diocese, and it was wonderful to share in the celebration with our wider community of faith. We look forward to Bishop René's leadership and ministry as he begins this important role within the Sandhurst Diocese.
Following this joy-filled occasion, many of us also experienced a sense of shock and sadness following the devastating fire at St Kilian's on Friday. We hold the parish community in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. While the damage caused is heartbreaking, stories of hope have also emerged from the tragedy. Many have reflected on the remarkable fact that the fire stopped at the tabernacle, providing a powerful reminder of God's presence and the strength, hope and resilience that can be found even in the most challenging circumstances.
Last Friday, students brought home the learning goals developed during our recent Goal Setting Meetings. These goals reflect the important conversations that took place between students, families and teachers and will help guide learning and growth throughout the semester. I encourage all families to take a moment to review these goals with your child, celebrate their aspirations and discuss the steps they can take to achieve them.
A reminder that this Wednesday is a Pupil Free Day as St Liborius hosts a CESL Staff Spirituality Day. We are delighted to welcome more than 200 CESL staff members to our school as we gather to explore more deeply what it means to live "Life to the Full." This promises to be a rich opportunity for prayer, reflection and shared learning.
Finally, our School Athletics Carnival will be held this Thursday at the Lar Birpa Athletic Complex, in Flora Hill. We are looking forward to a fantastic day of participation, fun and community spirit. Thank you to Mr Ledwidge for his organisation of this important community event. Families are reminded to ensure that all permission forms have been completed and submitted through PAM prior to the event.
With many blessings,
Alannah Darmody
