Whole School Activities

Assembly & Easter Hat Parade
Last Friday we held our Easter Hat Parade and final Assembly for the term. It was wonderful to see our students showing off their creations to family and friends and also demonstrating their best "Chicken Dance" moves. Thanks to all all of our students for their efforts. We extend a big thank you to our P&C for generously providing an Easter Egg Hunt for our students to enjoy to finish off the day.
Congratulations to all students who received awards and we were very proud to showcase the achievements of our students over the past few weeks.
Rotary Art Show/Autism Awareness Day
On Wednesday last week, both Upper and Lower Division were lucky enough to visit the Rotary Art Show. Students carefully viewed the art works on display and were treated to a very informative talk from local artist Libby who described some of the techniques that are used to create works of art.
Whole School Science Experiment
Over the last two Monday afternoons, the whole school participated in an Egg Drop Challenge. Upper Division worked with Lower Division to design and construct their devices that would keep an egg safe when dropped onto concrete. This was a great opportunity for our whole school to work together and students from each stage enjoyed the process and the testing very much. More eggs survived than did not - so it was a job well done.
Gardening/Chalk Art
Several weeks ago, our school vegetable garden was planted with a variety of seeds and seedlings. With the recent mix of rain and sunny days we have seen some amazing growth, with seeds emerging and seedlings growing strongly.
To fill in any gaps, today we planted some extra seeds and garlic which will hopefully thrive in the coming months.
While our garden beds were being prepared for the seeds, we took advantage of the great weather to participate in some chalk art on our concrete areas. The results were great and it was a lot of fun to see the many talents of out students.
