ANZAC DAY

This ANZAC Day, Friday April 25 we reflect on 110 years since the Gallipoli campaign and commemorate all Australians who have served in times of peace and war.

ANZAC stands for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The soldiers in those forces became known as ANZACs. ANZAC Day commemorates the anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealand troops at Gallipoli, Turkey, on April 25, 1915, during the First World War.

Our POPS ANZAC service will be held on Monday, April 28 at 2:50 pm. Led by our Year 6 leaders, the service will include heartfelt readings and the laying of class wreaths, offering a meaningful moment for students, staff, and families to pay tribute to those who have served and continue to serve.

Lest we forget.

LEARNING JOURNALS

All students will bring home their Learning Journals this week. These journals encourage students to take pride in their work and reflect on their learning.

The Learning Journal includes assessed work and Victorian Curriculum rubrics. Teachers use these tasks to guide instruction and inform the Academic Reports in Terms 2 and 4.

Please review your child’s work, complete the parent feedback sheet included, and return the journal to school by Friday, May 2.

PA EASTER RAFFLE

Thank You!

A big thank you to Mrs Schafter, the PA, and our Year 2 families for their fantastic work in organising this year’s Easter Raffle. The event was a great success, raising approximately $1800.

Congratulations to the lucky winners of the Easter hampers, we’re sure they were thoroughly enjoyed!

POPS GARDEN!

🌿 POPS Garden Volunteers Needed! 🌿

We’re putting together a volunteer roster to help with planting, weeding, and maintaining the POPS garden. Your support will ensure the space is ready each week for our 3/4 students to enjoy hands-on gardening.

Whether you can help weekly, fortnightly, or just now and then, every bit counts! Let us know if you’re keen to get involved.

Please contact me if you're interested in joining and we will get a roster going 🌼

POPS GIRLS

Thank you to the Theobold and Britt families for looking after the girls over the holidays.

Also a huge thank you to the Theobald family for purchasing two new gorgeous Heritage Sussex hens. They are settling into their new home very well!
