Holy Week Mass Helpers

Easter is approaching and it is our tradition at St Justin’s to join with the wider community to celebrate these important events in the Church Calendar.

Our first event is Palm Sunday and we are looking for children to walk into the church holding the Palms. Palm Sunday is Sunday 13th Apriland the Mass time is 10:30am. All students from Prep to Year 3 are invited to participate in this wonderful community event.

The next event is the ‘Stations of the Cross’ held in the school grounds on Good Friday 18th April at 10am. We are looking for students in Years 4, 5 and 6 to do a reading at each of the stations.

If you are able to attend either event, please be in the church foyer 15 minutes prior to the commencement of Mass. Please email Mrs Cedro by Thursday 3rd April.

Lent - Week 4 Sunday 30th March

Gospel Message - God Is A Loving Father

This Sunday we celebrate the fourth week of Lent.

In Sunday’s Gospel we learn that God is full of mercy and compassion.

Although sometimes we choose to do the wrong thing,

God is waiting for us ready to forgive us when we admit our mistakes.

God waits patiently just like the father in the story in the Gospel.

God’s love is forever and is ours if we seek it.

Prayer:

Gracious God,

You are like a loving father to us.

Your love is constant,

and you are always ready to show us mercy and forgiveness.

Help us to turn back to you when we go astray

and help us to be confident that you will always listen when we call to you.

We ask this prayer through Jesus, your Son.

Amen.
