SEL – Kindness and Connection

Last week in SEL, students continued the Kindness and Connection module, focusing on the impact of unkind words online and how to respond to difficult digital situations. They explored ways to communicate respectfully and build a more positive online environment.

Year 8 Camp – Permission Slip

Get excited—the Year 8 Camp to Fitzroy Island is coming up in Term 2! Permission slips will be sent out soon, and we ask that they be completed and returned by the end of Week 1, Term 2, to assist with planning and preparation. Camp is a compulsory school activity, and while we understand that some students may have prior commitments or feel uncertain about attending, we encourage families to reach out with any concerns. If your child is feeling anxious or unsure about the camp experience, please contact us early so we can explore support options and help them feel confident and prepared.

Wrapping Up Term 1

As Term 1 comes to a close, I would like to thank our Year 8 students and families for a great start to the year. It has been wonderful to see students settling in, building connections, and growing in confidence. I wish you all a safe and joyful Easter break—may it be a time of rest, renewal, and blessings. I look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for Term 2!
