General Information

Have You Downloaded the Compass App?

Emails with usernames and initial passwords were sent out again this week. Please ensure you have set up your account.

As our school transitions from DAY MAP to COMPASS as our attendance and parent communication portal, we advise that the current absence text line number, 0457 935 569 is no longer functional. We ask families to remove this absence number from your phones as this will no longer advise the school of your student’s absence.

Please download the COMPASS app.  You are able to locate the COMPAS aais as either an App through the Play Store and locate Balmoral SHS to sign up.  An email from Compass has been sent directly to families with a username and password.  This will provide your access to Compass

Day Map is no longer in use, so all student absences must now be logged via Compass. If you need assistance with access, please contact the school office. In moving forward with our transition to Compass, we ask you to advise of us of student absences through any of the following three options.

  1. Compass App
  2. Q parents App
  3. Student Absence email: studentabsences@balmoralshs.eq.edu.au

We understand that this transition from Day Map to Compass may have initial teething problems. We appreciate your support and understanding as we navigate this change which we believe we will provide a better platform for school and family communication.
