Everyone Belongs!
Harmony Day is a time to celebrate the rich cultural diversity that makes Australia such a vibrant and inclusive place. It’s a day to reflect on the importance of respect, belonging, and understanding values that help build a society where everyone feels welcome, no matter their background.
At Balmoral State High School, we are proud to embrace the unique cultures, traditions, and languages that shape our community. With more than half of Australians born overseas or having at least one parent from another country, and over 300 ancestries represented across the nation, Harmony Day is a chance to learn from each other and celebrate our shared humanity.
Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, share cultural stories, and participate in activities that promote unity. From learning how to say ‘thank you’ in another language to discovering the Indigenous heritage of our local area, these small acts help foster a deeper appreciation of the diverse world we live in.
Let’s make this Harmony Day a moment to connect, learn, and celebrate the differences that make us stronger together!
