eSmart Week

Week 10, the final week of Term 1 is National eSmart week
This week allows us to focus in on the four key pillars of being eSmart both at school and at home.
This year our school will focus on the pillar of COMPULSION. Encouraging our students and families to be proactive in managing time connected and engaged with digital technologies and maintaining a healthy balance of screen time.
Content is being aware of WHAT we engage with and watch.
Contact is WHO we engage with.
Conduct is HOW we engage and if our connections and interations are posititve.
and
Compulsion is WHEN and for how long we use technology. As we know moderation in all aspects of life is important and this is very true for our technology use as well.
At school students in years 5 & 6 will be working hard to complete their Digital Licence run by eSmart which educates on the tools to help navigage the 4 pillars.
Students from Prep to 4 will take additional lessions of our eSmart curriculum and where possible join in virtual story telling sessions with a focus on safer internet and technology use.
