To wrap up our Science learning for Term 1, students had the exciting opportunity to complete the final round of our “Elephant Toothpaste” experiments a fun and memorable way to finish off our unit!
This term, our focus has been on the science unit What’s the Matter?, where students explored the properties of different materials and how they can change. Through hands-on investigations, students learned to identify solids, liquids, and gases, and observed how materials can be combined to create new substances.
The “Elephant Toothpaste” experiment was a highlight in room 1, allowing students to observe an impressive chemical reaction up close. It sparked curiosity and prompted great discussions about how and why the reaction occurred.
It’s been a fantastic term of discovery and scientific thinking.
Ms. Barton.
We’d like to extend a big thank you to Ms. Barton for the wonderful work she has done in Science this term. Her engaging lessons and passion for hands-on learning have made science exciting and meaningful for our students. While Kerry won’t be continuing as our Science teacher in Term 2, we’re pleased to share that we’ll still see her around the school from time to time in a relief teaching role. Thank you, Kerry, for your dedication and enthusiasm, you’ll always be a valued part of our team!
