'Together Everyone Achieves More'
This term has been filled with wonderful moments of learning, growth, and teamwork. We kicked off the year by focusing on one of our core school values, Responsibility. Throughout the term, students have embraced this value both in and out of the classroom, thinking deeply about what it means to be responsible learners. At our final assembly, I had the pleasure of sharing how proud I am of everything our team has accomplished during this first term.
I’m excited for what the rest of the year will bring and all the amazing things we’ll achieve together. This term has truly inspired and motivated me. Next term, I’m committed to doing my best every day and embracing each new day with the mindset of how I can be better than I was yesterday. Learning is the process of growing and improving by gaining new skills and knowledge. It’s about making progress every day, doing a little more and getting better each time, no matter how small the steps may seem. At Cowwarr, we believe learning is a journey for everyone, students and staff, all growing and developing together. Throughout the year, our staff will continue to engage in professional learning to strengthen their skills and enhance the support they provide to our students.
After all we are a TEAM and Together Everyone Achieves More.
A huge thank you to our incredible TEAM for such a fantastic start to 2025! The school holidays are here, and it’s the perfect time to relax, have fun, and spend time with the ones you love. To all our amazing families and the wider school community, we hope you have a safe, joyful, and fun-filled break. We can’t wait to see you all in Term 2!

Swimming 'Fun Day'
If we had to choose the best day of the term, our Fun Swim Day at the Traralgon Pool would be it! The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for both students and staff. It was a fantastic day filled with laughter, swimming, sliding, and shared joy as we enjoyed our school excursion together.
At Cowwarr, we take great pride in promoting water safety, confidence, and swimming skills. Creating opportunities for our students to enjoy and learn in and around water is something we value deeply. This day was a wonderful reflection of that commitment!
Timber Festival Art Winners
Earlier this year, our students had the chance to create some amazing artwork for the Timber Festival. We always love taking part in this special local event and seeing our art on display for the community to enjoy.
This week, we were lucky to have Mrs. Leanne Phillips visit our school to present awards to some of our talented artists. A big congratulations to our three winners Hunter, Emma, and Greyson, whose fantastic artwork was recognised in this year’s Timber Festival Art Display. Well done!
Looking ahead to next Term...
ANZAC DAY MARCH - Students are warmly invited to join me in representing our school at the upcoming ANZAC Day March. Those who wish to participate are asked to meet near the Heyfield Bowls Club at 8:45am, ready for a 9:00am start. Students are required to wear their full school uniform, to proudly represent our school on this important occasion.
Cross Country - On Monday 5th May, all students will be taking part in the Sale District Rural Schools Cross Country. We encourage everyone to come along and give it a go whether they choose to run, walk, skip, or jog their way around the course! It’s always a fun and active day, and a great chance to connect with students from our cluster schools while cheering on our friends in this long distance running event.
